Evolution upgrades a unit's base stats, unlocks stronger attack patterns, and gates content difficulty in Anime Overseer's mobile tower defense combat. Open the unit menu, select Evolution, and commit duplicates plus Gold, Soul Crystals, Super Soul Crystals, and raid masks as required per tier.

Materials arrive from codes, Infinity Express raids, Nightmare chapters, and shop rotations. Evolution is irreversible — confirm the unit is a long-term keeper from best units before spending scarce Gold. Pair evolution spikes with trait rerolls only after the unit is fully committed.

Gold: Infinity Express Raid Act 3 and Blue Planet Nightmare Ch8 — see farm resources.

Gems: Sand Village Nightmare Ch8 and code bundles for summons, not direct evolution.

EXP: Blue Planet Nightmare chapters level units before evolution caps bite.

Soul / Super Soul Crystals: Raids, codes like restrictionremoved, and high Nightmare clears.

Raid masks & evolution items: Akaza raid and raid builds targeting Act 3 repeat clears.

1. Primary DPS — Michael, Brolu, Akoza, Jogo, or your best Legendary bridge.
2. Secondary DPS / AoE — Jogo for wave compression or Sonic Ninja flex for Infinite.
3. Tank slot — whichever Legendary absorbs boss hits in Story Nightmare.
4. Support — cooldown reducers benefiting specialization presets.
5. Collection units — only after core six slots are raid-ready.

Max Level Increase raises the level cap beyond standard evolution endpoints. The system consumes additional duplicates and premium crystals, making it a long-term sink for Mythic mains pushing Infinite Mode leaderboards.

Invest Max Level Increase on units with S-tier traits — ideally Overseer or Overclocked on Michael or Brolu. Do not max-level Epics. Plan duplicate retention using the team planner so you do not accidentally feed a future Mythic copy into the wrong unit.

Evolving every pull: Gold bankruptcy delays your primary DPS spike. Focus one carry at a time.

Evolving before trait decisions: If you plan to replace an Epic next week, skip its evolution entirely.

Ignoring raid mats: Some tiers require masks only from raids — Story farming cannot substitute.

Forgetting team context: A maxed solo unit cannot solo Act 3 — balance with team comps and deployment practice.
