Team Specialization in Anime Overseer

Team specialization is Anime Overseer's macro tuning system: you bias roster-wide stats toward lower deploy cost or faster cooldown recovery (and related secondary stats depending on patch). This trade defines how spammy your comp feels in Story, raids, and Infinite Mode.

Specialization does not replace traits — combine with trait effects and team comps for full optimization.

Deploy cost bias: Deploy units more frequently — ideal for Sonic Ninja rush comps and early Story learning per how to play.

Cooldown bias: Reuse abilities faster during long boss fights — core for Akaza and Act 3 where fights exceed thirty seconds.

Most players maintain two presets: farm (deploy) and raid (cooldown). Document values in team planner notes.

Story Nightmare: Slight deploy bias for flexible repositioning.

Infinity Express Raids: Cooldown bias on raid builds.

Infinite Mode: Balanced or cooldown depending on squad sustain.

Gem/Gold farms: Deploy bias to speed-clear Sand Village and Blue Planet.

Rename presets clearly — "Farm" vs "Raid" vs "Infinite" — so you never enter co-op with the wrong specialization loaded.

Low deploy cost amplifies Sonic Ninja and swarm strategies. Cooldown recovery amplifies Michael and Akoza ability loops. Do not over-invest specialization before owning tier-listed units from best units — reroll traits first on committed mains.

When both axes offer mid-tier values, default to cooldown for raid-heavy weeks and deploy for Gem/Gold farm weeks. Mark the choice in team planner so you do not enter Akaza with a farm preset by mistake.

Maxing one axis only: Extreme deploy bias hurts raid burst phases.

Never respeccing: Free or cheap respecs may arrive — adjust per content type.

Ignoring comp context: Specialization cannot fix missing AoE in Act 3 — fix comps first.

Copying influencer presets blindly: Specialization that works for Mythic Michael rosters may fail on beginner comps — tune to your deploy cadence and trait uptime.
